Reflect and Connect

When and how do body systems work together?

In your notebook, work individually to complete the Reflect and Connect questions.

  1. After M'Kenna got sick, she started to breathe really fast whenever she played basketball. She also said her "heart pounded" more than it normally did. Use the data you collected from the interactive to explain these changes.
  2. Earlier, you began an answer to the Focus Question for this lesson. The Focus Question for this lesson is, When and how do body systems work together? You started an answer in the Engage and wrote your responses in your notebook.
    1. Start a new row on your Model Tracker. Add the Focus Question to the new row in the tracker.
    2. Look back at your answer and start a bulleted list of things you want to add to your answer based on what you have learned using Ben's data.
    3. Add this list to the "What we figured out" column.
    4. Record the source of evidence for each thing you add to your list.
    5. You will complete this row at the end of the Explain.
